Sad Day in the Gesenhues' Home

Jackie had to go home this morning. However, the time we spent together was awesome! Let me share some of the details...

Yesterday morning we decided to drive about 30 miles to Monroe, Ohio to visit the Outlet Malls. I quickly realized how much easier it is to purchase clothing when you have friend with you to tell you how good it looks on you. We scoured the sales and came back with several bags in hand. Once we were home we tried on everything we bought again and talked about how excited we were that we bought it.

Our afternoon and early evening was spent as our times together are normally spent. We talked. When we get together (even though we talk on the phone frequently) we catch up. We talk about things in our lives that have happened since we last saw one another.

Last night we went to dinner with Johnny and Bob at Rio Grande where we enjoyed the taste of Mexico. Our night ended at our house with more conversations late into the night.



Some may look at this view of our weekend and decide, "That sounds kind of boring..." but with a best friend it could never be boring. Best friends make life a little bit sweeter and this weekend Jackie definitely made us all a little happier by gracing us with her presence!
